So this is a post I've prayed for/waited excitedly for/dreamed of writing since August 8, 2008. Of all the dance recitals, soccer games and birthday party posts; no event compares to the significance of profession of faith and baptism. Ava accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior on March 3rd after a psalms devotion about God's mighty power. She had tears in her eyes when we finished reading and told us that she'd been thinking about her decision for some time and she felt like it was something she needed to do right then. We prayed through tears and Ava committed her life to Christ in her room, in her bed, in her heart. We celebrated her decision throughout the week and she was ready and excited to be baptized before her church! Here are a few pictures of the sweetest day as Ava proclaimed her faith and followed with believer's baptism on March 20th. She was loud, she was joyous, she was sealed for all eternity. Halleluiah! We were so thankful to have so many precious friends and all of our family stand with us on this special day. We are thankful to our children's pastor, Dave Marsh, for his love and dedication to the kiddos of our church. And we are thankful for a God that saves. We continue to pray that Ava's faith will grow every year as she draws nearer to Him in prayer and service. What a mighty God we serve!
