Ava & Keegan

Wow...we've been a family of 4 for almost four weeks now and it feels like we just got home from the hospital.  The weeks are going so fast!  Jeff has been home with us on his paternity leave and I can honestly say that I'm having such an easy time with this transition because of him.  He is a great help and we've had a lot of fun the last couple of weeks.

The hardest part about having two kids is trying to go anywhere.  Finding a time to leave around his feedings and her nap is difficult.  It takes so long to get ready and loaded in the car.  Then there are two kids, a very large diaper bag and purse to keep up with.  So far I've only taken the kids out twice to the store by myself.  Both times I left my grocery bags and had to drive back once we were in the car and I realized it.  I guess it's better than leaving a kid!  I know outings will soon be easy and natural but I'm going to take advantage of Jeff being home the next couple of weeks and get my practice in later :)

We've really enjoyed being outside in this awesome spring weather this week.  Ava took up watercolor painting and Keegan just enjoyed laying in his lazy chair.

Keegan weighs exactly 7 pounds this week and judging by the amount he's been eating during this 3 week growth spurt I think he will be 8 by the end of next week!  He only gets up once a night now usually between 2:00 & 3:00 but both he and Ava are up around 6:30 and that's not so fun.  He is starting to show expression which makes his awake time a lot of fun.

Ava has really, really enjoyed all this time with Daddy!

And she's pretty crazy about her little brother too :)
