Thursday night an ice storm hit our area and we were "iced-in" all weekend long and into Monday. School was cancelled both Friday and Monday and I have to say it was a treat to have my girl home! We knew the weather was coming so we were prepared with lots of hot cocoa, homemade soup, snacks and baking essentials! I didn't know, however, how intense this ice storm would be. It was the worst I've seen in my 10 years in North Texas! On Saturday we just had to get out of the house so we very carefully headed just down the road to the Adriatica where Ava plays soccer. There's an amazing hill we've wanted to try sledding and it did prove to be amazing! Jeff and I could have stayed all day but the kids were ready to go after two runs each. Here are some pics of our ice days!

The ride down was definitely more fun than the walk back up!
Jeff made the best tent that covered almost all of Keegan's room and these two watched movies and slept in there all weekend. I forgot to take a pic but it looked so fun :)
All done!
