Christmas Break part 2 - Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

We had such a special Christmas Eve this year. We were so happy to have Grandmama with us! We had a beautiful time of worship and a great night of dinner, presents and Karaoke at Grammy and Poppy's house.

The kids were up at exactly 7am on Christmas morning and ran into the living room ready to see what Santa brought them!  Keegan found his new Batcave!

And Ava found her new desk!  It was kind of hard to miss :-)

It only took them about 10 minutes to tear into all of Santas gifts.  I think Jeff and I repeated "Hold on! Let's take turns!" about 20 times.  They were maniacs.

Hulk hands, this captain america shirt and the new marvel superhero game were a few of Keegan's favorites.

And of course all of Ava's art and desk supplies were big winners for her :)

After playing for a bit and having breakfast, we headed over to Nana and Gramps' house for a fun Christmas Day.  Gramps met Keegan at the door with matching hulk hands :-)

We enjoyed Christmas dinner and lots of play outside this year in 70 degree temps!

It such a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.  We all had the best time just enjoying family and eating great food,  It truly is the most wonderful time of year!

Christmas Break 2015 part 1

Our break started with my birthday weekend! I had the best weekend celebrating with family :-) I feel like 33 is going to be a great year!

We did a kid swap with the Smitherman family and Ava spent the night with Abigail while Preston spent the night with Keegan. They were both beyond excited and had the best time!

We let the kids open gifts from us on Christmas Eve Eve. It's always a fun night at our house!

They got a Kareoke machine, a Spider-Man PlayStation game and a shopkins set. There were quite a few songs performed :)

We built a gingerbread house and decorated lots of gingerbread cookies. 

They were so proud of our finished work! We went to bed ready for Christmas Eve!

December part 2 - Santa, Lights and Parties

We saw Santa a few weeks ago at our neighborhood annual tree lighting. We saw so many friends this year and stayed the entire time. The kids had so much fun running around!

Ava was so glad she took her letter since Santa asked them to tell him just ONE thing they want for Christmas!

We spent a night in deer field looking at Christmas lights...

Keegan's class had a Christmas pizza party on Thursday. Keegan took down 4 pieces of pizza, breaking his record of 3 from last year. This boy loves some pizza!

And Ava had a great time at her party on Friday!  We decorated a few weeks ago and it turned out so cute. 

We made snow globes for all the kids' lockers :)

We left Ava's party and headed for Northpark! I really think it's my favorite day of the year.  We spent a few hours shopping, eating and checking out all the Christmas fun :)

Ava shopped for build a bear accessories and Keegan shopped for Star Wars items. Of everything at the Disney store, he chose these Chewbacca pjs and a star wars thermos. 

We found a mask to match and he's planning to wear it all to the movie on Saturday :-). 

And now Christmas is here! We are a thankful crew. Grateful for a Savior that brought us Hope! Merry Christmas 2015
