Memorial Weekend

We enjoyed a 4 day memorial weekend this year thanks to no bad weather days at school! Thursday was Keegan's last day of preschool and Ava's 2nd grade program/year end celebration.
Last day of preschool carpool with my guy.
So proud of our sweet girl and her hard work this year!

We decided to kick off our weekend with a road trip to San Antonio Thursday after her program! We made it to our hotel at 8 and headed for the pool and hot tub :)
We took off for Fiesta Texas after breakfast on Friday morning. The weather was nice and the park was not crowded at all. We rode this kiddie coaster quite a few times :)
We rode several rides, had lunch and saw two shows...
We made it back to the hotel around 3 and spent the rest of the afternoon swimming.
After dinner at the hotel we drove downtown to stroll the riverwalk.
We spent Saturday at the six flags waterpark. It was hot and sunny and perfect for water rides but Keegan wasn't tall enough for a single slide there and the crowds were huge! Jeff and I took turns riding slides with Ava but by 3 the crowd was so big and the lines were so long that it was time to go!

We drove 20 miles north to Boerne to see family and get ready for Aunt Kathy and Uncle Pauls' surprise retirement party! We stayed at my cousin Eric's house. He's a state trooper and Keegan was so excited to check out all of his police gadgets!
The party was a huge success! They were so surprised when they showed up for what they thought was just dinner with Eric and Savanna :)
Eric hooked his 90s nintendo and sega up at the end of the night for the kids to play. It was so fun! And surreal. Kara and I spent every Friday night of our childhood playing on these systems with Eric and Lauren!
We had the best night with family! It was a great way to kick off Kathy and Paul's new adventures in the hill country. We saw their new home in the Bandera hills Sunday morning then drove home. Bella was excited to see us but exhausted from doggie day care! She slept and slept.
We enjoyed Memorial Day at the beach pool with the other Hutchison 4!
It was an amazing 4 day weekend! We came home to 3 more days of school. We caught a break from the rain on Wednesday for Ava's outdoor class party.
My future third grader and kindergartener!
But for now it's summer! And we are going to soak up every moment.
(Well... the moments they aren't pestering/arguing/copying/taunting each other anyway ;-)

Spring Events!

It's been a fun and busy spring! Here are a few pictures of some of our adventures...
Ava surprised us by taking on the rock wall at our school's spring carnival. She made it all the way to the top!  We had a great Saturday playing and supporting our school.
Ava's field trip was at my alma matter this year! The activities were in the environmental science building at U.N.T. where I took geology 10 years ago. It was so surreal walking around the campus with my 7 year old! We had a great time exploring. The archaeology dig was her favorite :)
We bought season tickets to six flags this year and spent a beautiful Sunday riding rides and playing at the park. It was so much fun! The kiddos loved the rides.
We had a special Mother's Day with Grandmama this year. She was able to spend the weekend here with all of us and we treasured every moment.
My cuties we're excited to give all their sweet homemade Mother's Day gifts :) So thankful to be their mom!
Keegan's soccer team was undefeated this season! They are a great little team and we are so proud of their hard work. It will be fun to watch them grow each season.
Ava's soccer team finished with a strong win last Saturday. We had a fun parents vs players game and trophy party last week to celebrate their season!
We celebrated sweet Bella's second birthday last Monday!
Keegan's coach gave him the 'game ball' Friday night after he had 3 base hits. Keegan humbly told us he knew he was getting the game ball that night. Ha!
Keegan and I joined Ava at field day on Friday. We had so much fun with friends. It was the perfect day for outdoor fun :)
Poppy, Jeff and Keegan enjoyed a boys' afternoon at the rangers game last week.
Love these boys so much.
Keegan's preschool spring program was last week...
It's hard to believe our preschool days are over! But this guy is an official registered kindergartener! He's definitely ready.  And while it's hard to let go, I'm so eager and excited to see what this guy will accomplish in his days to come.
