Color Run and Spring Break

We kicked off our spring break with our PTO Color Run at Ava's school that Friday! It was a huge success and the kids had the best time! Ava ran her heart out and she was so proud of her 38 laps.
We headed to Bahama Bucks to celebrate right after. She had a much earned snow cone :)
Saturday of spring break was our only good weather day! We knew rain was coming do we headed for our favorite bike riding/dog park after soccer games.
Bella has grown fonder of her dog park lately. She just wanted to be held the first time we took her. The second time she walked around a bit. But this day she actually played and made friends!
Pretty girl stopped for a second to pose :)
It rained every single day of the rest of our spring break. We ran around looking for indoor fun all week. We hit up the new Peter Piper Pizza, Lego Land, Dave and Busters, the Library, the mall.... By Friday we were out of ideas! We had a great week despite the weather. Here are a few pics....
And a pic from Dave and Busters...

Valentine Weekend, Soccer and Cheer

I'm so behind! Here are some pics of our Valentine weekend...The kids enjoyed all their valentines from us and their grandparents :-)
They couldn't agree on where to eat for our Valentine dinner so we had Olive Garden for Keegan on Saturday and Market Street for Ava on Sunday night.
The kids started soccer practices the following week and they are both off to a great season!
Keegan scored two goals and earned the first 'player of the week' award!
Ava scored her first goal of the season last weekend.
And lastly, Ava and I finished our uwpward cheer season at the end of February! It was a fun 8 weeks and the girls learned so much. It was great to share the season with my girl :)

Catching Up - January Happenings

January came and went so quickly! I thought I would post a few pics from my phone to try and catch up!
The week after Christmas we bought Keegan a corner tv stand for an old tv we had. It's perfect for his PlayStation gaming, and on this particular night, the Lego Movie. (note the Star Wars original movie posters framed on his wall.  Keegan is about all things Lego right now. He found these at Hobby Lobby and begged for them for days.)
Ava is loving her new desk. We painted a cork board to hang above and it completes her perfect little creative station :-)
Ava's elementary hosted an incoming kindergarten story and craft time the first week back from break. Keegan has several little buddies from t-ball and soccer (and little siblings of Ava's friends) that will be in his grade next year. He had a blast running around the library with all of them.
Ava and I have been cheering every weekend the last 6 weeks. Here are some pics before her first game day. My heart almost couldn't handle it.
She is having the best time cheering and dancing and she's blown me away with how fast she's learned everything. It's the sweetest time sharing this with her.
Just for fun.... My senior year squad circa 2001. Cheer was such a big part of my life for many years.
Ava's school hosted bingo night a few weeks ago and the kids had the best time! They enjoyed their friends and they both won good prizes. We couldn't believe the luck they were having with their bingo cards!
Ava sent her Flat Stanley cut out to San Antonio to visit our cousins in the hill country and he had so many adventures! He came back in a souvenir t shirt and Ava worked hard writing about each picture they sent and she was so proud of her final product :-)
The kids started Awana at church last month and we are working hard to memorize scriptures. This chalkboard from my best friend Amy sure helps throughout the week!
They meet for 2 hours on Sunday evenings and have the best time learning and playing.
And lastly, we celebrated Grandmama's 89th birthday on January 24th. We had a great party and dinner. We are so thankful for this beautiful lady!
