Our Summer in Pictures!

I've taken snapshots throughout the summer but I've been terrible about posting them!  We've stayed so busy all summer long and I can't believe this is our last week before school starts.  Every summer is a little more fun as the kids grow a year older.  We made a bucket list at the end of May and we've marked everything off except for water balloon fight.  I will work on finding water balloons this afternoon I guess!  I'm always so sad to see summer go.  I love having the kids to myself.  I love not setting an alarm clock.  And I love getting together with friends that we don't get to see as much during the school year.  We've had a great summer :-)

The kids went to Backyard Bible Camp at Aunt Kara's house this year and Presley came back to our house to play the last day.  They jumped over the sprinkler for an hour!
We took the kids to Hawaiian Falls for the first time and they loved it of course.  Ava went down every slide she was tall enough for and Keegan pretty much parked it in the wave pool besides a few slides in the toddler area.
They loved playing "bumper floats" in the pool
We had an eventful 4th of July that started at the Beach pool, moved to Watters Creek and ended with Fireworks!
Aunt Kara and I took the girls to Six Flags.  Ava earned a free ticket for completing a reading log in January/February.  She proclaimed it the best day of summer!  She LOVED the rides despite the lines and heat.
We went out on the lake with good friends and the kids had a fun day of tubing behind the boat!
We made a trip to our snow cone pirate ship....
Free Slurpee on 7-11.  Ava always has it marked on her calendar :-)
(Love the photo bomb in the back)
Swim dates with precious friends!
The kiddos are in love 'Presely's pool'  They've become quite brave on the diving board and slide!
This is one of the only times this summer they actually begged me to take pics.
Ava finished her summer reading log last week for our library and the librarian gave her lots of coupons for treats (like Sonic ice cream) and she picked out a book to keep ;-) She loves to read!
Both kids finished up their indoor summer soccer league.  They both LOVED it!  They are both
going to be playing in the fall.
And Ava turned 7 last weekend!  More on that to come.  We celebrated early with her best friend Abigail who shares the same birthday weekend.  Look how they've grown.  5 summers later we have second graders!
I can't believe baby Ava is 7 years old!

Sea World 2015

We left Ava's dance recital and headed for San Antonio for a few days.  Ava just finished a unit on Texas history at school and she wanted to see the state capital and walk through the Alamo.  We had lunch on the Riverwalk and spent a day at Sea World.  It was such a fun trip.  The kids were at great ages for Sea World this year.  This was our fourth time to go but it was like the first for them because neither one of them remembered it!  Here are a some pictures of our trip....

Ready for a day of Sea World!

Sea Lion Show
Both kids were able to ride the Shamu Express and we rode it over and over again! They loved it and the lines were short so we would hop back on!
I love that it looks like Jeff and I took pics of each other riding the little roller coaster.  You can't see the kids in either picture.  Ha!
We saw three really great shows and between the sitting in the splash zones and playing in the splash park we stayed pretty wet all day!
And we were in the pool the rest of the trip!
photobombed by a crazy dad!
And a fun dinner at BJ's with San Antonio cousins!  Another fun San Antonio trip in the books!
